Stephanie J. Seligman joined the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in 1984 and became a partner in the Corporate Department in 1990. She focuses on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, restructurings and securities law. Ms. Seligman has extensive experience in a broad variety of transactions involving major telecommunications companies, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, spinoffs and cross-border transactions. Her other experience includes transactions involving companies in numerous different industries, such as real estate, natural resources and health care.

Ms. Seligman received her B.A. from Harvard College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1977 and her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1982. She also has an M.A. in Economics from Harvard University. Prior to joining the Firm, she was a law clerk to the Honorable Milton Pollack, United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Seligman has also participated in panels on a number of topics, including mergers and acquisitions and restructurings.
