Louis Barash is a litigator who practices in Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz’s white collar and regulatory area. He primarily advises financial services firms and individuals with respect to criminal and civil regulatory investigations and related civil litigation, and with respect to ongoing compliance with securities laws and regulations. Mr. Barash has worked on numerous prominent securities and tax investigations.
Mr. Barash received a B.A. in Philosophy from Union College in 1976, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from Duke Law School, where he was a member of the Duke Law Journal.
Mr. Barash previously was a partner with Reid & Priest in New York, where he was the head of Reid & Priest’s mergers and acquisitions practice, and was an investment banker at Merrill, Lynch, where he was the head of Merrill, Lynch’s utility merger and acquisitions advisory service. |
